Looking for a gti

Newbie from S Wales
Come from a TT background, owned 5 but now need 5 doors. What are the common faults on these / advice on what to check for other than std things

There is a 07 red gti, 5dr local to me with 32k on clock, unsure of spec. Can find out though, near bingley west yorks
