MFD2 & Phone prep
« on: April 20, 2009, 05:47:03 pm »
bear with my as i am hopeless and anything with wires!!  :ashamed:  When i brought the car it had the std CD player head unit and also the factory phone prep (with the little shar fin areal)  Never bothered to get it working as the phone holder is Nokia and i had something else (no idea what, just that is was black so matched the car )  Anyway, ive now swapped the head unit to the MFD2 and am thinking of getting the phone thing sorted.

Thing is, i have no idea how

Any help would be very helpfull   :happy2:

You want VrStu, he's the man that can. :happy2:

I'm sure he'll be along soon, if not I'm sure someone can point you in his direction.
Cheers,

Your need a plane ticket to find him, he's away on opps at the moment. Will be back for a week only then off again, so he might be hard to tie up with.
Send him a Pm and see if he can  :happy2:

If you have the bluetooth prep?  then have you tried looing for the kit with your phone I.e searching for bluetooth devices in the area?  if your phone searches, the car kit is always active while the car/stereo is turned on so should find it I think the standard pin number i set to 1234 but some one with VCDS can change it or you.

Alternatively if you have the MFSW and highline then the phone menu should be in there.
