Should be fitted by next weekend, so I will post my findings then if no one has this PCV fix.

I have the original fix - just the added check valve in a new pipe.  Have been looking at this and been very tempted to try it out - let us know how you get on.

In case you are not aware of this, the place where the can should be mounted on US cars is not available on UK cars.

UK cars have the charcoal cannister in that position so you will need to find an alternative mounting site that may be a little less inconvient for servicing the can.

Do you have the stock engine cover as it may need to be cut for the hoses if a different can location is used.

Phil from BSH has stated that some folk with RHD cars have managed to mount the can over on the right hand side of the engine bay (when looking at the engine from the front) mirroring the original instructions. Whilst this is possible, routing the hoses may create a problem as space is at a premium.

One viable avenue to persue is to do a little drilling and use a different mounting position. The red circles in the pic demonstrate where you need to drill and use screws/bolts to hold the bracket.

May also look at taking out the charcoal cannister.  I did this on my old VR6 golf.  If the Yanks don't have it, it can't be that important.  I think

I don't think the emission standard in the US is as tough as here in the EU hence the presence of it (charcoal cannister) on EU cars.

I think it is.  I have being looking at all these threads for over a year now, so I have put alot of thought into the PCV system on my car,  and what it is doing to it.  It is only there to make the tree huggers happy.  On my car, it sometimes feels so smooth to drive and other times it seems to be holding back and not as sharp.  I put this down to the PCV system and the cold weather.  Did to see all the water mixed in with the oil after they drained the catch can.  People put this down to cars in colder climates.  To me, this is what makes my car feel the way is does at this time of year.  Come spring all my little running problems that I have over the winter months just vanish like nothing was ever wrong.  It has been like this for the past 3 years.

I originally put the EJ fix to see if it solves a slight boost loss.  I noticed  the PVC being either blocked or having the EJ fix on a few cars at GTI Inters this year.  The BSH is the newest and latest one time fix for it and looks good.  I am tempted to so it just to solve the problem once and for all.
