Fair enough. But a quick look at autotrader reveals that with the exception of the comment re: the A1 I'm not wrong so in future I'd appreciate it if you kept your condescending comments to yourself, or at least post a constructively worded correction.

In the same vein posting up the correct information would also be useful!

So just to clear things up which one of the 1.4 engines in the A1 has this problem? Is it the turbo only engine? or the super charged and turbo'ed engine?

My dad has the lower powered one and does not seem to be having any troubles in the cold. Not that it gets used much.

Hi, thanks for your feedback,

The Mrs A1 is the 1.4 TFSI Sport, 122 PS pretty sure this lower Hp is just Turbo.

@mortygttdi they have done the ECU as well as replacing other parts, their waiting for Germany to go back to work to get some advice now.

She had a ridiculous 3.0 TDI A6 for a couple of weeks and now has the A3, its a neck braking 1.2

On the plus side it doesn't have the power for her to drive it up a kerb and get beached (again) :signLOL:

I had cold start issues with a mk4 150 bhp diesel. Had the ecu checked, temperature sensor and relays replaced, new fuel pump. Eventually found out that it was the injector seals. Shouldn't really happen on a newer car but worth checking.
