recommend a polishing machine

can someone recommend a good polishing machine that can polish and wax. (dont mind buying seperate attachments) for under 100 pounds?

preferably a double handed one.. not like those crappy 12v cigarette lighter ones from halfords.

Have a search round in this section but off the top of my head, megs g220, kestrel, silverline and dodo. All are dual action and hence safe in newbie hands. Try and get a kit (pads and sample polish).

Its a personal thing but I would not recommend using one for wax. It is not really what they are meant for although you can I think it actually takes longer and is more of a faff to use a machine for waxing.

Agreed - prefer waxing by hand. Allows you to get very thin layers which makes it easier to buff and layer.

If its for occassional use 2-3 times ayear then the DAS6 its the cheapest out of them. You can pay the extra and get the Pro model but if its 2-3 times a year then I doubt you will see the benefit. I have the normal version and use mine all the time. I would advise though check if you get the bag free as some may charge extra for it.

awsome well i think i will go for the silverline as i can order it through work cheapy cheapy.

also on another subject. what snowfoam would you recommend? iv seen a lot of "cherry snow foam" beinf offered on eb but wonder what it would be like.

I think the current snowfoam faves are autobrite magifoam and some actimousse from autosmart. Valet pro also good imo.

I had a go on my friends wax buffer machine (you know what i mean) and I didnt actually like it, I found it left a lot of marks from the dried wax around so think I will just wax by hand and save that effort.

Do you mean the cheery foam? would you say autobrite is better?

cherry foam is top seller, and in my opinion better than the other mentioned.

i used to work in a body shop and we used makita polisher or air polishers,

and http://www.meguiars.co.uk/ are 1 of the best companies you can use for polish and wax

I have a Kestrel, I have no bad words about it, but it shakes the blood out of your hands! If you were to use one for 20 years you would definately get White finger.
