NOW SOLD - AjayB's Build Thread- GT TDI
« on: January 14, 2012, 02:41:17 am »
Thought i'd start a little thread as i'm going to be doing quite a bit to the car and would like opinions and suggestions from you guys  :happy2:

The cars a 2004 2.0 GT TDI [140]
Reflex Silver
Remapped by Awesome GTi - 180bhp // 290lbft
Lowered on H&R 35mm soon to be changed
20% tints - Probably change these to a little lighter shade
Front GT facelift conversion with a straight fit GT/GTI bumper from Vagen.vg

Mods i am planning to do are listed in my Sig.

The car looked like this when i got it-

I then got the tints, springs and some spare alloys that were floating around put on-

Then came the remap done at Awesome and full service with engine flush-

I got bored over Xmas so decided to wrap some interior trim-

After buying the car i realised that it had been subject to some previous body work and been covered up by the garage i bought it off, the paint was peeling after a few washes, rear arch has lost its line a bit (only noticeable upon close inspection) so i decided to get a full side respray done to rectify the problems. Just got the car back today-

From this when i dropped it off-

To this-

And finally-

I will get some proper pictures taken in the daylight and post them, but for now i am really pleased with how its turned out. Lots more to come.. (NEW PICTURES BELOW A FEW REPLIES)

What about the new ed35 wheels they would look nice on yours :happy2:  Or the new GTI/RS3 wheels?? My local wheel/tyres place has just got them in stock and could do them cheapish...or you could get them from the bay a bit cheaper.

Ed35 optional wheels

Ed35 standard wheels

Cheers fella, i paid £600 for this respray on the side.. a full respray would be considerably more.. Probably around £1500 or so i reckon. The work thats been done is very good and has totally sorted any issues the car had previously.

Yes mate CH's came from there, they are a distribution company so supply to he likes of Lark Speed and other performance companies.

Loads of different wheels to choice from.
