number plate bulbs
« on: January 14, 2012, 04:19:25 pm »
I was changing the bulbs for the number plates to the brighter white bulbs. I fitted both, and turned the lights on to make sure they were working, all was good but after about 10 seconds they just turned off.

I took them back out and made sure they were fitted corectly and tried again, but they went out again after 10 seconds. So i tried putting the standerd bulbs back in and all was fine. Does anyone have an idea as to why this would happen? These are the new bulbs im using

Hi,

Not many LEDs are compatible with Golfs ECU and many out there on the market will give you errors. I just fitted white leds purchased here www.hids-direct.co.uk and have no issues. These are highly regarded here. There was similar thread see below
