Pescara/CH BBS - More Mrs-Proof?
« on: January 14, 2012, 06:27:07 pm »
My beautiful Monza 2 18's have had yet another shocking clash with the kerb, so I'm thinking I'll take them off before they become unrepairable, and get them refurbed when my lovely Mrs. gets her own motor!

The thing is, I still want it to look good in the meantime, and I was wondering if the CH/Pescara style reps are more forgiving on the kerbing front? Don't want to go OEM, as it's only a stockgap

Best method is to teach you wife and/or to fit wide tyres on narrow wheels:

At least 235/40 on the 7.5" Pescara or 225/40 on a 7.0" rim or even 235/40 on a 7.0x18.

There are some nice 7.0x18. Easier to fit 235/40 on the Pescaras though. Keep in mind
to buy tyres with a rim protection lip as well.

I seen those "Alligator" wheel rim protectors, maybe they would be usefull until your Mrs learns to park 6" from kerbs
