Jetseal?

Guys

Just wondering if i'll gain any depth or shine by adding Jetseal to my TR? Might be a difficult question and i'm already covered for polish, glaze and wax on it.

Hoping for an enthusiast's opinion rather than the websites selling it - as it is quite dear.

Anyone use it on TR? Worth a try?

Sorry have no idea what TR is but can say that in my experience Jetseal hasnt added any depth to the finish on the cars i have used it on.

I tend to use it as a sealant, cause its a bloody good sealant product.

This would be over a car that has been machine corrected and glazed to achieve the depth and gloss already.

As posted by the above i find it a fantastic sealent.
I have used it on a red car of a mates and my red mini but i did it in the order below (its a copy and pasted from a reply i did elsewere) which is how i also do it on my own cars but i used the jetseal as a sealent.
I also use it as a sealent on alloy wheels as i find it fantastic for that.

1: Snow foam :- ValetPro Ph Neutral
2: Two bucket wash method :- using DoDo juice born to be mild shampoo & Meguiar's lambswool wash mitt.
3: Dry :- with a chemical guys wooly mammoth drying towel.
4: Clay :- the paint with Autogylm surface detail kit or Meguires clay kit
5: Polish :- 2 coats with Autogylm super resin polish
6: Glaze :-  2 coats with Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze
7: Sealent :- 2 coats Jetseal 109
8: Wax :- 2 coats with Collinite No. 476s
9: Wheels :- Same treatment as above
10: Tyre side walls :- Meguiar's Endurance Tyre Gel using a Meguiar's Tyre Gel Applicator.
11: Windows :- Autoglym fast glass.

Im no expert or detailing world junkie(yet) but im happy with the results im getting with the above method.
Im sure experts will correct were im going wrong as i have a lot to learn about detailing.

TR = tornado red - the colour of the red mk5 gti.

Jetseal is a good sealant, loved by many. Sealants don't sit well on wax so you would need to strip the wax back, re-prep the paintwork and then apply the sealant. Once fully cured, can be waxed over.

Final effects are always a personal thing - eg some people love the finish supernatural leaves behind, others don't.

I might just leave it to the wax then. Is yours TR too?

BTW could you recommend a pad for me to attack my swirls with a rotary? I have a 3M yellow but looked at a Sonus SX1 - would this be too aggresive?

I need to shift some swirling but dont want my red turning to primer anytime soon.

No, mine's black, like in my signature!

Pads and polish depend on machine, car/paintwork and operator. Since I use a DA, can't really advise about rotaries but I always say start off with the "weakest" pad and polish combo and work from there. I'd also suggest a paint depth gauge with rotaries.

It's my brother's rotary so maybe no point buying a DA also. Depth gauges are a bit steep too.

I guess i'll just tread carefully with the pads. It's difficult to know til you try eh?

Some super looking GTIs on here though - makes you want to eliminate swirls!
