If you hadn't said they were Hella Projectors I wouldn't have known any different from them being OEM Xenons!! :happy2:

They do look good don't they! I have had mine on for a few months now and am impressed with them. I've got the Phillips extreme vision bulbs for dipped and high beam, and some brighter side light bulbs ( can't remember if they are Phillips or osram). I bought mine from eBay- just put in mk5 golf xenon look headlights and you will find a couple of sellers. I bought mine from the German seller £318 for the lights and £19 p&p from a company called tuning fanatics. Ebay item number 200579708297. They arrived in 4 or 5 days, and fitting was quite easy. Told my insurance company and there was no extra cost either.  :happy2:

Yep got them from eBay tuning fanatics £337 to the door.
I have had 6500k hids fitted and they seem fine no one has flashed me yet but it may fail the Mot when that comes round as no self level.

I fitted a set of these lights to my car before Christmas. They look great during the day, but the light quality at night is not as good as standard lamps. I was pretty disappointed even after fitting Philips extreme vision bulbs.

The light pattern does not have a good range. I got them professionally aligned to make sure.

I am considering going for a HID kit now. are the 6500k bulbs good, they must be alot bluer than the OEM xenons???

Just done some night ones.

I find night driving much much better they are well better then standard, however you can see the beam pattern is not the same as oem but for the money i am happy.

I have these lamps with Philips extreme bulbs. The HIDs on your car seem far better.

It looks like you have two very bright areas in the far left and right. what is the distance like compared to the standard lamps?

Cheers,

The distance is much better then standard and i was worried about blinding people with the two bright areas, however not one car has flashed me and having had them set up by the garage they said they were spot on. I had a mk5 r32 a while ago and the i would say i am more happy with the beam pattern on that. still i cant complain as i this set was less then half the price of OEM.

Identical to OE xenons imo, I am surprised at how white the 6500k HIDs are, I am running 5000k and they look exactly the same, generally 6000k and above is when it starts going blue.....

Just found these on eGay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GTI-PROJECTOR-Xenon-HID-Headlight-2005-VW-Jetta-Golf-5-/150733731943?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23186e3867#ht_7793wt_1037 - not sure how much postage is as you have to email, but cracking price (if there are suitable for RHD).  :happy2:
