Colour coding
« on: January 16, 2012, 03:21:12 pm »
I backed into a car last week yet again, those parking sensors didn't help  :signLOL:

Anyway the first time I did it no damage, this time I have a scuff on the rear panel, above the rear black valance. I have just rung a guy in bournemouth and asked about colour coding the rear bumper and side skirts. Its 400 all in and I know he will do that scuff and other little bits for free as he is pretty good . I just need to be sure I def want my white car colour coded so please convince me ?? :happy2:

Any pics of white colour coded cars? cheers

Take a look at this thread:

IMO colour coding improves the look big time :happy2:

But on the rear bumper leave the lower valance unpainted.

WOW what a revival!!!

Everyone has their personal choice but for me the R32 rear valance looks the best, which is pretty much what a part colour coded GTI valance would look like.

Yeah a mate of mine has an r32 and it looks mint! Not sure how good a standard grey 1.9tdi sport would look :/. Already all color coded apart from the rear valance.

^^^

Does yours have the standard rear 1.9 TDI valance? If so then you won't have the ridge like on the GTI valance so yours would have to be fully colour coded.

Yeah in that case it would look better all one colour.

Not the best angles in those pics...but from the ones I've seen in the flesh, colour coded looks much better :happy2:

A friend of mine has one the same colour and same valance and i really didn't like it colour coded, i think its because the rear is made of two pieces and it just looked weird, or the match wasnt great :/ Not sure
