they may have used a trolley jack on the chassis, if pushed too far under, the bumper it would indeed get fouled by the jacks lifting arm. or could be bad positioning on the hydraulic lift, wont be the ramp type if thats the case, it would be more likely bad positioning of the pads on a pole lift where theres a pad placed under each corner to lift the car thus keeping the wheels accessable to remove

it looks like the position of the pads were not in the correct place and also the pads not wound up enough so the ramp leg has caught the skirt going up

I've just got back from the car being inspected....

Took less than 2 mins initially the guy tried to say that they don't jack from there again??   

So I showed him exactly where it had been jacked (same on both sides) & the crack - at which point he looked ever so slightly embarassed, & then said for the sake of an arguement I'll fix that for you.  I asked what he meant by fix, & he explained they have a guy that specialises in plastic repairs... My face must have said it all, so he then followed that up with if it's not 100% up to standard then they'll look at other options...
 
I'm reasonably happy with that, I have to admit I went there with the expectation of being given the :angry015: & a right old fight on me hands....

I agree with VC - the guy has almost held his hands up and said that he will fix it but made it out like hes doing you a favour!
Stamp feet and demand what is yours- a brand new painted bumper  :fighting:

Wouldn't mind a new bumper, but it's the side skirt thats broken  :wink:  I recon I'd be pushing me luck there a bit.  But I like your style....
