HDMI Switch + TV Wall mount
« on: January 17, 2012, 12:20:34 am »
Hello.

Can anyone recommend me good one that works and has auto switch function please. There are plenty out there, but its a minefield. I only need a 2-1 switch, maybe 3 to be sure.

Im trying to minimise the amount of cables i need to route to my TV thats going on the wall.

Thanks
Rich

I have used various switches, but not been too happy with any of them. Deided to get a full HDMI processing AV reciever, loads better.

i was about to suggest this!

i have a Onkyo Txnr509, great amp!

But obviously 100x more expensive.

If you have a richersounds near you nip in and ask them their advice on hdmi switches

Just want something that works at the moment  :happy2:

Employ a man servant to unplug the HDMI lead and re-connect into whichever device you require, you can then have him whip up some Gentleman's relish and toast for a tasty treat during TV watching  :happy2:

Before I bought an onkyo amp I was using a switch from maplins.  Worked fine for what I needed it for and switched when the other device was turned on.  Also had a remote to switch as well.  It's just stuck in the garage not being used if you want it?

That would be awesome Alex, thanks. How much do you want for it. Send me a PM. :happy2:

I only have 1 HMDI device so far (PS3), but the plan is to get a Apple TV for the lounge install.  :happy2:

I may get flamed for this but I bought a really cheap one from eBay which is a 4 way. It's powered via a small transformer. It switches automatically perfectly. To the point where I have never had to use the button on the box or the remote control to use it.
It just works.
