I'm thinking of doing this next myself...does the addition of a sun roof make removal of the linning even trickier? More wires, torq screws and plugs I guess. And what about the airbags...can you set these off by accident? Still looking to fit the aerial so more tricks of the trade greatly appreciated.

suppose am lucky been a 54 plate it doesn't have a aerial :signLOL:on the roof,think its buid in to the rear window

yep, Joe's is the same. thats spot on having no aerial!

what was the reason vw started putting the aerials back on the roof...i was told it was to do with the american market  as they mianly use am

no, it was probably just cheaper to stick an uglier aerial on the roof!
