Mk5 gti vs mk4 r32
« on: January 13, 2012, 12:58:09 am »
Had a little fun with my mates r32 tonight.. He's car has a decat miltek.. Well my car pulled away through the first 3 gears, I was even better off the line.. Then his was quicker after that.. Not really sure what to make of the results.. But I'm in for a remap on Saturday.. I have also decided that launch control is rubbish on dsg
TR dsg, stage 1 r-tec map, bbs ch in gloss black, black roof and badges, colour coded, neuspeed hybrid intake, cat back exhaust..

having owed a r32 mk4/mk5 and now golf gti i would say the results show that ur mate needs to learn how to drive!!! a standard golf is not quicker than r32 and would only win when there is driver error , (shfting to early, late, etc) hence ur mate.now a remapped golf should be able to hold its own due to power then being similar and the difference in weight between both cars.from ur remap expect about 230 -240 depending on whos rolling road u have it tested on.

Yep, agreed, I also know that my Std Ed30 keeps up with an Audi TTS (he was 2 up, I was on my own), then I passed him and pulled away  :P
