VW Bluetouth kit
« on: January 14, 2012, 12:15:07 pm »
I would like your help here...:
I want to buy a VW bluetooth kit for my edition 30 but i dont know what is the right for me.
I found this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270890103468&category=9886&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619

Notice that i have midline clocks and NON MFSW.
I plan to reprofit a mk6 gti MFSW soon, but for now i just want the bluetooth kit just appear in the RNS screen my contacts and  numbers.
Will the above kit fit on my car?
Is it plug n play?

And something else:
Is the bluetooth constantly switched on or is there any way to enable it whenever you want.
I want to know because my wife uses the car and she always has my son together in the back seat.
I wouldn't like to have radiation all the time in my car.
Only ,if possible, when i connect the phone to the RNS.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Don't think that one would work as you would need the white MFD and MFSW to enable pairing. I bought one like that initially and then sent it back before fitting it.

I would recommend the 7P6 which you can get from carsystems in Poland. Just got mine fitted and it works extremely well. I do however believe that it is in paring mode continuously as I connected my Iphone to it about 15 minutes of it being powered up. I am not sure about the radiation you mention though???? The 7P6 will display perfectly on the RNS, but not on the red MFD. When you eventually get the MFSW, you can use that to control it too. You can then also skip the tracks using the MFSW using BT audio which works very well.

I did purchased the 7P6035730G kit from carsystems.pl.
I have a question here about the connectors.
Check in the photo below please.
I have installed an RVC camera in the RNS 510 already.
Is there any room for the "new" connectors?

Where the "car" connector will fit?
Thanks!

The connectors you've labelled in your post go inline of the original plug that is already plugged into the rns 510.

Rvc plug is plugged just under the aerial connectors on the rns so theres no issues with your install.

Do you have voice control on your rns if not might as well connect your connectors for it and upgrade the firmware to enable it too,hope this helps and good luck with the install.

Thanks for the answer GTLEE.
How can i understand if i have voice control (voice command) in my rns.
It is version C and has firmware 2860.
What connection should i do?
According to car-systems.pl :
"C -> D - Without SDS / Voice Command
C -> A / B -> D - With SDS / Voice Command". Is that right?

The firmware you have should be VC enabled,for me I connected the the plug from Mic (plug D from memory,if not C) to plug A (pins 1 & & 7) and the other plugs should be connected together.

D->A

B->B

Mine is done in this way and all works fine.
