Funnily enough I got that 80s alternative anthems ministry of sound other week, brought back some memories, some great bands from the 80s but also some shockers, but I have to say I do have some guilty pleasures the biggest been real gone kid, wrong on so many levels :signLOL: but, pil, joy division, smiths etc all bands that I can't help feel will never be topped, or am I getting old as my step son says :signLOL: he keeps trying dub step on me but keep coming back to omd :ashamed:

I adour the 80's and have been waiting for it to become fashionable again

I listen to absolute 80's radio all day at work and at home too on DAB and it's the sole reason I'm putting a DAB radio in the car!

Great thread.  Love 80's music.  Quite partial to a bit of Simple Minds me self.  Saw them live last year at a Forrestry Commission gig on Cannock Chase.  Not many people under 35 in the crowd and the biggest queue was at the tea and coffee van, not the bar!

Oh yes Simple Minds, don't you forget about them (bad pun sorry). Saw then live twice in their hay day, they were awesome.

Loved the 80's. I was 16 in 1981, so perfect timing for that era really :happy2:

A few I liked...the songs honest! :innocent:
