A couple of small quirks-tailgate &door seal
« on: January 22, 2012, 10:35:25 am »
I have owned my golf a couple of months now, all good. It's true when people say, you buy them with heart. I paid top dollar, but perfect spec,  and a warranty.
I have banged my head twice on the boot lid, as the struts are not opening as quick as they should, and above certain speeds, the door seal leaks too. Is this common, is there a superceeded strut? I tried the search function and did not get far.  I'm hoping that I can claim under the warranty  :happy2:

I don't have any problems with the boot lid bit have done the boot pop mod. As for the drivers door I too get abit of wind noise coming in around 60mph. It does bug me but not sure what to do about it.

Boot pop mod is you replace the struts, stops and strut connectors and with abit of vagcom trickery the boot will automatically open when you press and hold the boot open button on the key fob.
