Changing side light bulb

Lads how do I change my side light bulb. I have looked and I can't get it out. Lol had my chubby hands in engine bay for agers. Lol. Thanks guys.

its a right b****** to change, whether you got the normal halogens and especially if you got the xenons, dont know what vw were thinking, but be careful, first twist the bulb holder then apply careful pressure tugging on the wire straaaaight out and not at an angle, should 'pop' out!

I have got brused knuckles. Lol. Not impressed. A right a pain. I give up for the day. Lol. Not enough light. So packed in.

...........don't think i would pull the wires to remove the holder :scared:. I just got hold of the holder as close to the rear of the headlight as poss & just rocked/tugged untill they come out.

I managed to do one side of mine pretty easily, just came straight out. The other side would not budge though so in the end had to use some long nosed pliers, grabbed hold of the holder and pulled straight out.

I wouldn't recommend pulling by the wires either. :scared:

Same as Mandy one side was easy to do with my hands but the other side needed needle nose pliers to wiggle it free, you'll be glad to know that putting the new ones in is alot easier and just push in and click into place  :happy2:

Think you might need to remove the bumper to access the bottom tab/screw holding the light in place or atleast loosen the bumper off to get to it  :confused:
