stage 2+ ed30 remap?
« on: January 22, 2012, 04:04:51 pm »
Not long had my ed 30 with stage 2+ mods and i have always felt it was not running the advertised 360bhp.
The previous owner who did not do the mods didn't know what map it had. I think it is now lost and after fitting a boost gauge at the weekend it spikes at 20 psi and settles at 15-16 psi all the way to the red line (i thought stage 2+ would be around 20 psi stable).

I would say going by my last car a stage1 s14a 200sx (270bhp) this is around the same power.

So the question is what does everyone else think, mapped or not?

Also, I live in leicester (south of) so do I go and get it revo'd (at their HQ) and have a bit of adjustability with the sps or make a short 7 mile trip to rtech in hinckley and get them to map it? Decisions, decisions

Looking for opinions

Thanks

why dont you get it on the rolling road at rtech?
Rtech will be able to give you the same revo map as revo HQ?
stage 2+ peaks at around 1.5bar until about 5800rpm

Bear in mind stage 2+ cars make between 330-360Hp depending on the rollers you use, and thats with the same modifications and software/settings etc.

It should feel alot faster than your old car though.  Potentially a boost leak or broken DV maybe?

DV is revision d although it doesn't mean it's working correctly. Could have a leak but it's hard to find.

Think I might be taking a trip to rtech, seem to get very good feedback, as they seem to give the car a good health check before any mapping which has got to be a good thing :happy2:

Hello,

We can provide you with the Revo stage2+ remap with full rolling road SPS setup, full health check, diagnostics abd before and after dyno plots

Nick

Pop the car down to me with some 'hobnobs' and I will give you a free rolling road/logging session and I can advise you from there.  I am not a salesman so I will tell you the truth, hardware issues or software issues.

Can't say fairer than that.

Need to get the Cambelt changed first, but i'll definately come down.

May stretch to chocolate hobnobs if you prefer
