check your cam follower
« on: January 23, 2012, 09:31:19 am »
check/change your cam follower every service or risk getting damage I got.
1000+ euro repair costs, HPFP, camshaft replacements.
I'm stage1 61k miles.
Symptoms: metallic noise when engine warm, like a tinfoil hitting a inside of can,
no performance loss.

-=update=-
Does anyone here know if dealers in europe could pass cam follower failure as extended warranty?
Apparently VW america issued extended warranty on HPFP, intake camshaft and cam follower for 10 years/120,000 miles in mid 2011.
Its classified as premature wear.
