Road Angel - Speed Camera Spotting
« on: April 27, 2009, 09:04:58 pm »
Hi,

I'm very dead set of on getting one of these.

I'm not sure whether this one spots Police Guns or Police Vans ?

Does anyone know of a good make ? Or has one themselfs they recommend ??? :drinking:

My mate once mention he had one,

He was travelling on the motorway, and his little gadget beeps every time he gets closer to a gun. ( works on laser detection ). He notice, while travelling 90mph, his camera detector beep was getting louder and faster, he couldnt see the gun anywhere - until he look up upon the bridge. There it was.

I certainly think they are worth £350 because which is better ? £60 fine and 3 points ? or worse, a ban if your a gas guzzler

^^^ I have used various RA's over the last few years and wouldn't be without one now.

The current model I am using in the Professional Connection version.

This has one big advantage over the other in that it self updates via the built in Orange GPRS web connection  :happy2:

does it have radar or laser ?, and what's the monthly/ yearly charge ?, my issue with these units is you have to remove them all the time

It's GPS based with an option of laser (either a windscreen or front plate mounted sensor).

The subscription isn't the cheapest at £4.99 a month but that includes all the auto updates including live mobile camera data feeds  :happy2:

I have the RA pro connected to and think its a great bit of kit. i would take a picture of it installed but i dont have the car at the moment :( but it sits neat on the dash :) and is small enough to pop in your pocket

What I would love is the unit hidden somewhere in he car so I can see it but the crooks can't?, or something covers it up
