Am loving it, feels really light compared to stuff I've had before. Got it 2nd hand (but basically like new) for half the cost of a new one which was a steal!

Nice bike mate, always loved cannondales, plus i have to confess I'll always have a huge soft spot for a good trail hardtail! Enjoy!

I've got a cube hardtail but Much prefer the comfort of my zesty but I suppose it depends where your riding,I think the cube could do with some better forks as the 100mm manitou ones on it are awful

Nothing worse than cr4ppy forks mattyw, worth a browse in the sales maybe to give the old girl a new lease of life?  For smooth flowing singetrack a nice hardtail is awesome. Agree the zesty is better for most stuff though (and quicker) esp. if rocky etc - lovely bike.

Leonard - I'd love another hardtail, my last one (Cove) was ace. Maybe sometime in the future, have a feeling the new E30 and finding this site might end up costing me some money!

Maxlight XC rigid - for commuting duties and fitted with slicks.
On-one 456 carbon - general xc bike.
Specialized SX trail - holiday bike / occasional UK DH trips.

Wow you've got some nice bikes alackofspeed!  Love the on-one - great brand.  The SX Trail is a beauty too - ideal for Dh days and cheeky trips to the Alps!

Nightmare on the the Pace RC405 though - they're f&^kers...  You should never mess with another man's wheels...  Agreed on 

Injuries could be funny.... As my mate says though "if you don't fall off, you're not going fast enough" - personally I just think it's an excuse for the mismatch between his expectations and ability

Where was the pic of the stolen Pace taken? Reminds me of Morzine (stroll on July)... Beautiful.

As for accident list - all I can say is... ouch! Clearly lack of speed is not your problem 

I'm loathe to say this just before a long weekend at Coed Y Brenin but I can't help thinking I'm due one! (touches wood) I've had a good run for a few years whilst my riding mates have shattered hands, broken collar bones, popped knee caps out, snapped achilles, multiple facial stitches etc... Other than a few broken toes, several concussions, loads of cuts/bruises and Ligament damage in knee, I'm good to go!

It's at the top of La Foilleuse north of Champoussin in the Portes du Solei, so not far out. Passportes 2010.

Hmm, nowt to say I'm fast, plenty to suggest the talent has been lacking a few too many times. Your mention of Morzine has reminded me I cracked some ribs when I crashed there last.

Always seems to be pot luck whether you land well or not. Coed should be pretty fast at the moment. Enjoy.

It's certainly a great pic - I love the whole Portes Du Soleil region and have many times contemplated trying to move the wife to Geneva, working from our Swiss office, and having every weekend there...  Not sure it'd have much legs with the Mrs though...    Did you enjoy the Passportes event?  Have always toyed with doing it but tend to go a week or so later to have quieter lifts/runs...

Back in Morzine/Les Gets in July - can't wait!  Not long finished building up my Patriot (see below) in preparation and rode it for the first time a week or so ago at Cwmdown...

Agreed 100% on your comment on landing though!  It's definitely more luck than judgement.  Hoping not to put that theory to the test on the weekend in North Wales!  All I can think about is keeping the riding short so I can sample some good Welsh roads in the E30!
