RR day in Scotland anyone??
« on: January 26, 2012, 03:59:36 pm »
Was wondering if anyone fancied a rr day at Star Performance in Kirkcaldy?

I'm interested to see what my fr will make and all the rr days in Scotland are either up north or through west.

If anyone is interested I could have a word with Jim next week as my car is booked in.

Mike

I'd be interested. Have used Jim for a few problem solving sessions as as retro fitting my cruise control. Would be interesting to see what difference my Miltek TBE makes. Haven't made any other mods (yet) since my last RR back in Sept.

Let us know how many people Jim would need to run a day/half day RR session for us. I know there's a lot of members on here now from Scotland. A high percentage of them are diesel owners too.  :happy2:

If you can find out a price, what Jim will include on the day and dates he has available that'd be magic.

Thanks a bunch.

No worries mate.

I've arranged a few there before for the mr2oc and it was a great laugh.

My milltek is being fitted next week so I'll have a chat with him then :)

Where abouts it that? Extreme who? Star Performance is in Kirkcaldy so kinda central for Scottish folk on the east coast.

Extreme motorsport, their dyno cell is amazing. Whitburn so not exactly miles away from Jim.

Duh, I should have known, Extreme Motorsport in Whitburn:

There rollers are pretty good, a fine setup they have. I RR'd there in September and managed 182 bhp and 301 lb/ft torque. Have a Milly TBE and hoping for a K&N panel filter and service soon. Jim has a very decent workshop too. Plenty room for a meet and greet and possibly some grub? Mike, if Jim's willing to host this I'm sure a few members won't grudge chipping in for food, your thoughts?

I've never been to extreme, can't say I'm the biggest fan of Dastek's rollers though but that was when they were at Dalgety bay.

I'm seeing Jim on mon afternoon (fitting some goodies for me) so i will have a chat then. If Jim isn't too enamoured about sorting out food then I'm sure i could speak to the burger van that lives outside my work and see if they wanted to come along for some easy cash lol.

Good stuff. Aye, if Jim isn't up for arranging food, to be honest he's a mechy, not a chef, I'm sure something else can be arranged. Any rough date you had in mind for the RR day? I'm pretty close so almost any weekend suits. Apart from Feb - 4th or 25th. Am free most weekends in March and April. :happy2:
