offset questions?? plz help.
« on: January 27, 2012, 12:21:25 pm »
I'm looking into getting some landrover Mondials that are ET54 and have 16mm adaptors on the front and 20mm on the rear. Will they still fit as my car is dropped on Eibach Sportlines? and help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say adaptors, do you mean spacers?

Probably adaptors as PCD will be different

ET54 - 16 = ET38

No chance to fit a 8.0" ET38 wheel on a Mk.V without pulling fenders.

If it was the PCD, why would it be different sizes front and rear though?

ET54 - 16 = ET38

No chance to fit a 8.0" ET38 wheel on a Mk.V without pulling fenders.

Really?  That size should only sit 19mm further out.

Really. Even 225s on a 8x18 ET45 may rub under certain conditions.

ET40 will rub. ET38 will rub.

I have 18 x 8J ET45 on lowered suspension and they have never rubbed, even with the boot full of stuff and 200kg of family members in the car, admittedly that is in my vRS but........ :drinking:

Well, on rear it's possible to run lower ETs of course if you have enough camber adjusted.
I have -1°10' on all four wheels. So no need for lower ETs on rear.

Or you might not be fast enough.

I run 8x19 ET45 with 225/35 and 8x18 ET44 with 225/40 on a coilover.
I know several people runnung simmilar combinations.

It's very close.

So I can not recommend ET37 both front and rear to anyone.
