clutch apart from Sachs
« on: March 11, 2012, 09:46:17 am »
Im due to change my thrust bearing soon due to it sqeeking. Im running stage 2+ on ko3 with standard clutch, had no wear issues yet, but will be replacing it anyway when the box is out. i don't want a Sachs due to.cost and sensation, are there any slightly better than standard clutch?

If you've had no slip or wear issues and you're not looking for any more power, then just replace with a new standard clutch imo...

Yeah this is what Im thinking, just wondered if there were any slightly tougher clutches, possibly from another car that has 250-300bhp as standard.

What age and mileage is your car? I'm very surprised your not getting any clutch issues on stage 2+, I have found mine on stage 2 has big clutch slip problems. It may be worth upgrading it anyway as this may fail safe it for future, just a thought.

On a side note I've heard the southbend clutch has a pedal feel near enough to standard, Sachs has a heavier pedal feel but I'm going for that option.

No,it's a little more than that really, you just missed out on a group buy on here which was for the higher rated sachs clutch which came to £460 all in,it should have been closer to £580!
