0w 30 oil Castrol Edge

Can i put this Oil in my car i found a 4L bottle of it..

What does VW use ? they have always serviced my GTI

can i mix the 2 ?

VW normally use 5W-30 oil in your car.
You oil should be ok to use provided it conforms to the VW 504 spec so check the label.
Without traction power is nothing!

How much have you got of it?  And what spec is it?

It is perfectly OK to add a maximum of half a litre of the 'wrong' spec oil to the correct brew - though don't take the p!ss and add sewing machine oil or tescos value mineral oil!

And half a litre of 0w30 would be quite useful in the winter.

I called VW in the end and they said it would be fine so i topped it up with that
