That's not the issue pal it's the heat that cracks the powder lacquer then the dirt swaps in slowly but surely and they turn yellow over time mine were sealed many times but there is unfortunately no cure apart from a refurb when it inevitably happens. You'll get a good year though pal.

Yeah, true. Hopefully ill get more than that out of them without a refurb. Our Clio 200 calipers were a year old and showed no signs of discolouration. But in total we only covered 6k miles. Polo will probably have even less mileage added by us, as we dont need to drive to work any more. :)

Space is ok in the rear. Boot is quite small, due to the high boot floor.
Have you taken the false floor out?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Parts are coming along nicely for the NQSBBK.

I have now got the following either purchased or on order.

  • 312mm Discs gone for some grooved MTEC Brakes discs from Minibitz on eBay. Only £75 the pair.
  • Brembo pads. Seem good for £50.
  • Boxster/Cayman front calipers refurbished in white as pic above.
  • H&R 8mm spacers and 40mm wheel bolts for front.
  • Eibach 15mm spacers for rear. Being supplied by Jabbasport
  • Pagid cera tec synthetic brake grease. Shouldnt use copperslip.
  • 2x sets of Anti Squeal shims from ECP. Im hoping this is actually 4x shims
  • Brake kit from DaveB (still waiting on this bit) including lines and brackets/bolts.
  • 2x new Mk4 Golf 312mm splash shields from VW, bargain at £8 each.

Pics will follow once ive got all the bits. I'll put it all out on the floor before it all gets fitted up on the 10th March along with my lowering springs. Cant wait!!! :D

Just fitted a Gulfstream footrest to the Polo this morning. Finishes off the pedals a treat, and better than the plain black plastic that was there before:

Gave the car a spruce up today.

Excuse the mark on the wheel in this pic. Was on the wheel when we got it. [:(] Ive now checked this against the dealership high res pics, and it can be seen.

Bloody smart these things, especially in CW when clean

What's the bolt arrangement on these Deako, 5x100 or 5x112? Ta.

P.s. The wheels look white in the first three pics  :rolleye:

It really was a mess after i left. Especially after i took the dirt path by mistake <ooooh matron>. No pun intended.

5x100 unfortunately. Been trying to find some 2nd hand TD Pro Race 1.2 for ages for it. If i wanted 5x112 i could have had 10x sets.

Here it is. The first ever production NQSBBK fitting kit for the PQ25 platform.  :drinking:

Thanks to Dave for pulling out the stops to get the kit to me before my install takes place on Saturday.

17" TDs in Brum

Worst advert ever, but worth an ask to see what the specs are.

Early Scoobies are 5x100 too, not sure on your Polo's offsets, but Subaru Speedline Turinis go for pennies - might be with some more investigation.  :happy2:
Sideways yo!
