Chipped paint above windscreen
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:27:45 am »
Hi all,

Was overtaking a bus this morning and a large stone flew up from rear tyre of bus and hit just above my windscreen. There is a chip through to the white undercoat. What is the best way to fix this. Will a touchup stick from VW work. Doesn't need to be permanent, just to make it look okay and stop it getting any worse.

Thanks,
C

Depending on your car colour and size of chip, a touch up paint from VW may just suffice.
Without traction power is nothing!

Tornado red :-( I've heard its hard to colour match. I will ring them. Cheers

I'm assuming there is only one tornado Red touchup stick, something like this...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Tornado-Red-Touch-Up-Stick-Y3D-/370452813905?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item5640b55851#ht_500wt_922
