How about Swisswax divine? About £2000. Reckon it'd be awesome on red.

Depends on budget, kit, and you. Everybody has their own opinion of what they look for in a finish. Machine polishing will give you a better finish than hand polishing. Autoglym SRP is usually enough for those who want to hand polish. Wax is also subject to individual preferences. Vic concours is supposed to really bring out reds.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The Vics Concours does look really good on red but I find it a right pain to remove for some reason. If the finish is already in good condition I'd just slap some colinite 845 on for winter and have another look in the summer months.

I use AG SRP followed by Vics Concours , great finish. In winter though I generally use a sealant after SRP , I used AG EGP yesterday.
