spent today at the event. tbh im a little disapointed, best time i could manage was 13.9 :stupid:

all in all it was a good day apart from the accident.

i feel the whole 1/4 mile setup was a total hash, the surface is no good, the time equipment is poor and the safety is appaling. the organisers need to move this show to santapod, if today had been at the pod  the worst case would have been a totaled car and 1 injured person.

those fences and cones they put out are shocking considering some cars are doing well over 100mph.

i hope everybody makes a quick recovery and that the whole world doesnt blame the driver as it rely wasnt his fault

Did jonny Cs TT perform as expected.

@jussa good times mate. You should have had a run with APRs Golf R. Would have been an interesting test

Thanks mate, bit pee'd off about the headwind as I wanted to break the 4 sec barrier

Thoughts are with the injured, hope all pull through.

^ Sounds like you were very lucky.  Thoughts with the driver too as his world is probably crashing down around him at the minute.  People are / should be made fully aware of the dangers of spectating motorsports, as should the safety systems be adequate.

Any body see anything of the sorensen Cupra?

That Headwind was crazy on Saturday Justin.

Even when sitting in the stand the wind was battering everyone's heads.

Must have taken 1 sec+ off the 1/4mile times.

Those S3's are Rapid though. Grip was amazing!  :notworthy:

Neil,
I was stood next the start when you did your fastest run.
Was quite interested to see your technique off the line in a tuned Ed30, as lots of cars were spinning their boots, especially the older stuff.
It seemed from the outside to be quite 'Driving Miss Daisy' and quite gentle in the initial phase, then once hooked up it just shot away, with a pleasing sound of gears going home with the DSG not interupting the flow of acceleration. Good job man.

That GTR looked rather rapido.
Mark

Yes Mark, I was as surprised as any one to get those times

I was nailing it off the line in the first few runs but couldn't get traction. I thought the Miss Daisy technique dont look great, but once I got it rolling it picked up OK   :happy2:

Hope those injured will be OK.

Neil

Neil,

You followed me into the show, my two kids were going mad looking at your car behind, they loved it.  :happy2:

"Dad why can't you get one like that"  :sad1:

I stood with the kids watching on the strip for an hour or so, sometimes things like that don't even cross your mind.  Our thoughts are with the injured.

:signLOL: yes, nobody wanted to go against him and they forced me to
It sounded like an aeroplane going down the strip.  4.2L V8 with a supercharger!! His best time I think was 3.3 0-60 and an 11.4 quarter mile  :scared:
