Ferodo DS2500 part number??
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:55:29 pm »
Hi,

I have a 57 GTI with the standard brake set up. I require new discs (312mm) on the front, so I will also replace pads while im there. I fancy a set of Ferodo DS2500 as they have been recommended to me by a few people. The only thing is I am really struggling to find the right ones. There are 2 different sets that I keep on coming across when searching for MK5 GTI front pads. The 2 part numbers that keep appearing are FCP 1765 H and FCP 1641 H. Not sure whether its me or if its common but I also searched on google to try and find the right ones but I still dont no.

Was wondering if anybody would be able to help me?? Would be much appreciated.

Guess it's FCP 1641 H.

Why? Other Ferodos for the Ate FN3 caliper include the '1641' as well.

The 1765 should be for FNRG (S3) calipers. But why don't you ask the seller?

I didn't think they would know considering they are advertising pads for a gti that are wrong. Cheers for the help though. I will try and get confirmation.
