Last nights police interceptors.
« on: January 31, 2012, 07:52:37 pm »
Anyone watch it? (some people at work moan at me for having it on, bus and holiday gets mentioned quite a bit!)
Drink driver crashed into the Audi a4, they replaced it with a black mk5 R32 seized from a drug dealer. Would love it if he saw that episode! :)

Yeah I watched it and saw them parading the R32 around, made me chuckle a bit, i did think tho, I wonder how many other cars he has in his familes names that the police cant touch tho?

Fair play on them getting it, UK is only about 15 years behind the USA stealing drug dealers stuff  :happy2:

I watched it Al - always look out for them, great series. Thought it was a top drawer idea to bring the recovered .:R32 into the interceptor fleet - good use of materials in my opinion.

Saves the police spending £35,000 (+) on a new traffic car and recycles something that would've probably gone for £10,000 at an auction, if that perhaps?
Certainly seemed in the public interest financially and the Force surely have no negative opinion  :happy2:

Staggering how that woman in the Corsa didn't kill anyone, she was h00ning it!  :fighting:

More amazed that she was taken straight to the station, collision like that I thought would have been straight to hospital. Made of tough stuff them scum bags!

Nath, the judges should really have a more realistic grasp of punishments sometimes, as earlier on the program someone was caught with no insurance, gets 6 points and a £200 fine, £200, really! What can you insure for that much, probably saved £1500 over the years by not having insurance!
And now that he has points it will cost him even more so he just won't bother!

Agree, either the punishment is a piss take or they drop the case due to a lack of evidence!!!

You sit there for an hour cringing at the scum bags behaviour, then at the end of the program the voice over guy goes on to tell you how most of them got away with it!!!  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

Thats what we in Notts might be switching to is the Astras.  I hope we dont and get some Octavias instead with decent boot space for the kit.

Splitting hairs here - but I don't think they actually 'replaced the A4 with the R32'.  Me thinks it was just convenient editing of the programme makers.

One thing they forgot to mention though, whos gonna foot the bill for the extra fuel the R32 is gonna drink over the A4 TDI?
