Dsg noise

Recently when I put my car into reverse from d I get a jolt when I accelerate slightly, its as if something is sticking and releasing itself, has anyone experienced this before? Its due its service in 8k. This is an intermittent fault it doesn't happen every time

Do you try to reverse straight away or do you wait a second?

I get this if I try to accelerate too quickly after just selecting the gear, if you give it a second to engage it's normally ok

Its probably the intelegent ECU not expecting you to do something. I find mine can be a bit jirky if im in a rush and quickly put it in reverse nd use a bit of throttle where as normally i would stop, then put in reverse and let it move itself, then it is very smooth

I'm pretty sure I wait. I let it come to a stop then go in to reverse anyway, also this morning it was a bit jerky through the gears when cold

Could be down to a combination of dsg oil that's nearing the end of it's service life and the low temps we have been having the last couple of weeks, there's a lot going on in there and old oil coupled with the higher viscosity caused by the cold could  be causing the clutches to drag momentarily?
I'd be trying a dsg service and seeing how you get on from there first

It does seem better once warm, that'll be a thing for next pay day then!

Sorry its due in 10k or 4 years will be next June, its still under warranty so could this be mechatronics?

If i try to rush into reverse from D it jerks also, i think its normal as my car had mechs replaced under warranty in october, I just wait 1 second until it takes it out of gear then select reverse and its as smooth as you like, try to rush it and it can jerk.
