Red lights on doors.
« on: February 01, 2012, 08:41:35 pm »
Hi peeps, does anyone know why the little red light at the bottom of my door interior isn't working when i open the door.
I checked the passenger side and that dosen't light up either when the door is opened.Wondered if there is a switch somewhere that powers them up?

You should have lights under your wing mirrors though

Are they just plug & play or do you need miles of wires etc?.

They are plug and play in effect but you have to make the looms up which are only about 30cm long for each door plus abit of coding with vcds.

Thanks chaps ,I can't believe how on a model such as a gti that VW have binned the lights and fitted reflectors. Can only be a cost cutting excercise.Unbelievable, but there you go.Don't think I'll be bothering to retrofit any either.
