Choose someone local that you can return to if required. For best results go with someone that can set the car up on the dyno, datalog all required parameters etc...

I second that. Its a right pain when you have to make a couple of 500 mile round trips just to get maps tweaked.
Also if you have any faults appear etc
Stick with one of the tried and tested places aswell like jannerSy said

I'd PM you with an excellent quote as part of our introductory offer but you can't read PM's. Basically we will be knocking £100 off for the 1st 10 maps we sell. The GTI map will be £299 plus £150 for the STS as we are a fair way from you up in Lancashire.

hi it say remap to 240 is that engine power or wheel power
and do you have to buy the STS

I have looked in their site. Its bit like the Revo switch, in that you can switch between the standard map & the Shark one. Its also means that they dont need to come to you to map the car ( or you too them) as the map seems to be stored on the handheld device.

I have REVO, can compare with others as never tried anything else but very happy with it. Acceleration is rapid with DSG box.

I have a shark STS device with stg 1 k03 map on it..... I'm told it'll go straight on to another car with the same engine ECU.

The map on your sts wont work on any other car but yours I'm afraid.
the sts device will, once the new owner has bought a remap from shark

That is engine power. 197 to 240 bhp at the flywheel. In reality though they make a bit more than that. They play the figures down.

Just from seeing first hand how they work and the detail and hours they put into developing their maps that's all. I have a REVO map on my S3 and I don't rate it at all.
