Pressue washer and frost protection

As I have just treated myself to a new pressure washer I'm just wondering how people on here go about protecting it from frost. I know its been a mild winter up until the last few days but say if mine was to get used every 1-2 weeks and it gets as cold as it has been recently. What's the best way to protect it? Mine will be in the garage.

all I do with mine is disconnect the water supply then pull the trigger and allow the pump to run for 1-2 seconds - long enough to get rid of any water in the unit but not enough to cause damage

It should tell you in the instruction manual but generally speaking, as above - disconnect the water supply, run the pressure washer until empty, make sure it's drained and insulate it. Some people have wrapped theirs in towels/carpet in an effort to protect it. Others had moved their units indoors

Might be worth me trying to store it indoors. It is very compact so might be able to find a cupboard inside for it.

I`ve wrapped mine in bubble wrap then thrown and old duvet cover over it

My dad put antifreeze inside mine over the winter, it worked a treat! It goes without saying though, rinse it all out before use.
