I'm in the same boat when it comes to the discs. I would love to shed some weight and get the NQSBBK, but having the S3 brakes all round I really don't wanna go back to the smaller 312's.
Looks like you have found the best of both worlds matey.

(although spacers with the oem wheels put me off a bit)
Whats the price/availablity/selection of the discs and pads like?

(The old front AND rear GTi brakes weighed in at 50kgs)
