....Always willing to oblige - A slightly different angle showing the bonnet vent a bit more : -

Looking good R, fitting them is a bit of a pain you dont really want to put a hole in the front bumper do you, I dont know why they didnt make them shorter and use the same fixing holes
The main reason I had them was to vent the front brakes via some ducting behind the cut-outs, but it does help to have the right discs & pads  :signIWS:
I'm pleased with the other OSIR parts aswell and the CF is a good match.

....Yours is looking very good, Neil - I didn't realise you also had the vented bonnet.

I discussed the question of why didn't OSIR use the stock fixing with both my mate who fixed them for me (he's very experienced in carbonfibre and fabricating other body parts) and also my friendly dealer's accident repair centre boss who has also done stuff for me. They both said that the fixing would be stronger on the shorter screw (less possibility of cantilevered leverage). But I don't know exactly why OSIR designed the panels longer (wider) than stock.

I (or rather, Dan) did drill my front bumper but it's no problem to fill the holes one day if I had to (extremely unlikely as my sales approach will be take or leave her as she is - Far too much hassle and also heartbreaking to ever put her back to stock).

I bet you can't even remember what "stock" was like Robin

Er, where does this bit go?

Yes, whenever I see a red stock GTI (not Ed30) I think it looks very strange!

I wonder what driving the new Mk6 GTI will feel like (I'm promised a test drive).
