I looked at these for my Green MK5 as im really into carbon at the moment but felt they were a little too slab looking on the car.
I've found OSIR products pretty poor to be honest they look good in the pictures but the parts I've bought don't fit very well at all and each required some modification to fit.

....Again, I agree with your criticism (and appreciate you saying what you think) regarding a tendency towards 'slabbiness'. Whereas a slabbiness might be emphasised on a stock GTI (not Ed30 or Votex splitters), I think that mine is greatly helped by the carbon OSIR splitter and nose mask. Also, these new fog panels really do house my LED DRL's faaaar better, and so, although aware of the validity of the criticisms posted so far, I think they work within the context of my whole package. In fact, I would go as far as saying that they help the look of my central carbon splitter.
This pic is the best so far at illustrating what I'm trying to say : -
Perhaps it's a bit like my quad zorsts - Close to OTT but I get away with it!
From a distance on the road, they don't alter the car's appearance : -
[^ Oops! Not the best pic - I'll have to wait for another]

I hear you, just that used to seeing a grill in the bumper that i think it looks too flat, each to their own.
I like the carbon mask on the grill :happy2:

Undecided.
On yours, I get it because they blend with the other carbon bits you have. On the white one, I'm not so sure they work? If they had a bigger duct I could do something with, then I may see a function over form.
Maybe I have to see them, as everything changes in the real world.

i understand what your trying to say and i aggree, it looks a little flat at the front, or the nose looks too rounded now.

....Yes, it does make the whole front of the car more rounded and I like that because it gives the illusion of being more aerodynamic [I'm wondering what Teutonic_Tamer would be posting about this if he was around!]
As tony_danza says, you'll know if you like them or not when you see them in the real world. It is particularly difficult to capture their effect in photographs for some unknown reason.
