Protecting your splitter???
« on: February 04, 2012, 02:26:21 pm »
With the imminent snow & a trip to scotland coming up next weekend, got me thinking, is there anything you can do to protect your splitter?

Might be a really stupid question but with the tracks in the snow and ice & slush pushed to the middle im abit concerned for the well being of my splitter! Especially now my car has been lowered.

Has anyone ever used the film you can get to prevent stone chips?  Or even tape as temporary messure?

Put some nice thick tape on for the journey. Cant see it doing any damage when you remove it.

Go see a vehicle warping specialist, they can get a clear wrap for the splitter, front bumper and wings of you want that much protection, then remove it when you wish ;)

either cover it in some of the blue 3m masking tape (not a good look but does the job)  or buy some clear plastidip that wont show as bad as the blue tape.
Still Here!

I screwed up my coilover.
Wrap your splitter with cheap Gaffa tape and remove it when your' back home.
You won't really see the black tape on a dirty car.
