R32 tail lights
« on: February 08, 2012, 01:57:39 pm »
Hey guys just browsing ebay and these popped up... apparently r32 tail lights, but they look light to me, or is it just the flash on the camera?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220949363652?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1431.l2649#ht_500wt_1413

What do you guys think.... r32 or standard gti?

Cheers

They look like Gti ones that have tinted with spray (Dont look dark enough to be genuine R32's) imo.

And the way he's worded the listing "believe these are genuine lights as they have the VW stamps on them but I'm not 100%."

Just seems like he suspects himself that they're not the real deal otherwise why even say that?

I could be wrong though!

 :happy2:

EDIT:

Best thing to do would be email him and ask him for the part numbers stamped on the back, you can double check it then

shame there isnt a pic of the back as usually the R32/ED30 ones have black plastic whilst the GTI ones have red plastic

Long nose pliers are your friend  - just grip the plastic bulb holder and give it a tug.

In the past ive tried getting my hand down there and pulling at the wires and its nearly impossible!

This is what i noticed when i got a genuine set of R32 tail lights to fit on my car...... the back of the standard GTI ones are grey with black bulb carriers and the fog/reverse lights are red on the back..... R32 ones were completely black on the back on all 4 lights  :happy2:

Very suspect, especially as he is saying he removed them from his own R32, but still not sure if they are genuine?!  Look to light in all the pictures as well, imho of course.

Well the guy's come back with these part numbers for the lights in ebay:

1K6 945 095 Q
1K6 945 096 Q
1K6 945 094 F
1K6 945 093 F

I'm just comparing them with normal tail lights part numbers and these seem similar

Can anyone confirm these are the correct r32 part numbers below

1K6 945 093 K    inner left
1K6 945 094 K    inner right
1K6 945 095 T    outer left
1K6 945 096 T    outer right

Thanks
