K&N panel filter

Is is worth getting a K&N panel filter? Anyone got one and does it make a difference for circa £50?

Save your money, i fitted one a couple of years ago

Doesn't make a blind bit of difference

IMO put the money towards something else  :happy2:

No difference to intake noise or performance. As well with a stock one.

Also not recommended as it's an oiled filter, can mess up the MAF meter apparently.

I'm putting the Pipercross dry equivalent in this week, which is supposed to unleash another 6 bhp!

I'lll let you know if there's any difference. I doubt it'll be noticeable, but it'll save on filters next time around.

I have a K&N fitted and not had any issues with the MAF oiling up.  Its really down to when people clean the filter they over oil it and then that can cause problems.

I've ran K&N panel filters twice now and always managed good numbers on RR days. You can also hear a tad more induction noise with one!  :happy2:

Had a pipercross one on mine when it was at stage 1 and it increased induction noise and felt a little more eager than before...... might of just needed the filter changing tho  :signLOL:

I'm running a pipercross panel.  Not get any figures but when you compare it to the paper one, the air has got to pass through more efficently.   :happy2:
