« on: February 13, 2012, 08:15:19 pm »
Hi guys, fancy a change from the Ferodo Ds2500 when they go, am sure Dave B will put me straight but in case he is busy flying/changing nappies/building a bespoke system for the veyron/ what are the main Pagid pads that are out there to fit the NQSBBK?

I think you have the choice from all of their compounds, from road/OE to the RS range. RS4-2, RS19, RS29 all possibilities.

sorry, I should have said, fast rod use only, no track work, so want them to bite really well and not need loads of heat in them before they actually stop you - one of the RS range fit the bill?

I think rs4-2 would be fine, or just an oe Porsche pad. Textar or pagid?

Yeah, think we will need input from the Reverand Brown or at least people who have experience of running a couple on their road cars

For what you want, RS4-2. They'll be absolutely perfect  :happy2:
Sideways yo!

RS 29 are not supplied for the NQSBBK.
I use RS 4-4 (orange) and they are great.  I use them on track and daily. I even use them during the winter (and it's been a hard winter) with no problems. The brakes are performing wonderfully!
Personally, for street use only I would go for RS4-2 (blue).
For track use only RS 14  :driver:.

Ds2500 is a good fast road pad imvho, it's quiet and performs well.

If you take it to a track and miss the warning signs that it's going off a bit then it'll spew it's rubbery guts all over your discs calipers wheels and sills and be compromised from then on

Rs4-2 will do both jobs equally well but on its own terms (clean disc) but at a premium £

Dave, I will install RS29 on the Ap Racing discs after RS4-2. The guys from Pagid said I can just install them after those even if they are different compound. What do you say ?...I would at leat clean the disc as good as I can (no deposits however at this moment as the RS4-2 have been only driven on public roads with normal breaking levels)

Pagid RS pads are advertised as being interchangeable, the reality is a little bit different.

In every Pagid box is a bright red leaflet saying they need to go onto a clean disc
