Cruise Control Part Number Query
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:40:23 am »
I'm looking at the part numbers for cruise control but having difficulty figuring out which one is applicable to a Mk5 Golf GTi Edition 30

It's a 2007 Model with Highline and MSFW Manual Transmission.

Searches reveal two part numbers that are applicable.

1K0 953 513 G - VW GOLF 5 2004-2008 ( all versions )
1K0 054 690 A - VW Golf V 2004 > Including GTI

Which one is right?

Top one is the stalk, bottom one is a retrofit kit?

You should have the wire in place on your car so you probably just need the stalk and some VCDS coding.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Both stalks look different in design.

1K0 953 513 G

1K0 054 690 A

The top is just a newer design.

Both are useable, as my car came with the bottom one but I now have the upper stalk as the original was starting to fail.
