VW RNS510 Sat Nav System - "B" Version - Faulty

I am selling this RNS510 as it's stopped working properly. It's from a 56 Reg Eos but I believe it will also fit a Golf, Passat, Jetta etc.

It was working fine until last week when I foolishly tried to update the software on it, downloaded from a forum. Since then it's had 2 problems: The update CD has decided not to eject, and wont despite repeatedly pressing the eject button. Also, it seems as if the Hard Drive may be faulty as when going to play stored MP3's or access the maps the unit just says "System Starting"

The rest of the system still works fine. Powers up, Radio works, screen works perfectly and the SD Card slot works and settings screen etc can all be accessed. And Audio works fine on all speakers when playing radio / SD Card.

To summarise, It looks brand new - no scratches, no dead pixels, It all works except CD wont eject and Media / maps can't be accessed, you just get message "System Starting"

I thought about trying to fix it myself, but took the lid off and realised it need someone who knows more than me about computers!

A great system if you can fix it.

Looks like he's bricked the firmware.

I'd say it's already approaching it's max value given the risks involved.
