signs a clutch is on its way out?

Hi,

I noticed that the car has not been driving as nicely recently..
I noticed that the biting point is right at the top of the pedal, i mean i just have to dip it and i can change gear lovely..
its also pretty jerky when changing gears :(

am I right in thinking the clutch is probably on its way out?

could well be when you change gear does the revs rise after a gear change with out the speed picking up? or if going up hill if you nail it in say 3rd does the revs incease but speed doesnt? if so then yes you need a clutch mate

i need to check if it is slipping! i might take it out quickly :(

i can say its not slipping, its just really high and jerks/kangaroos when changing gear

Hmm could try bleeding the clutch, normally when the pedal gets up high its a good sign its on its way, id try a bleed and see if that makes any difference, if not keep an eye on it and if it starts to slip get it done then

it could possibly be your flywheel rather than your clutch...
mine was also jerking/kangaroo-ing when changing gear, i put up with it for the last 18months or so until it got really really really bad over the winter and i had it changed over christmas, gear changes are now silky smooth - well, as smooth as i can make them that is!
