V8 Maps with FW2840
« on: February 18, 2012, 09:29:53 pm »
Does anybody know if there are any issues using all the features of V8 Maps (safety cam POI's etc) with FW2840?
If so then which FW standard would I need for my RNS510 version C?

Thanks :happy2:

Im using ver8 maps with 2860 and no probs with poi. Only downside is that to update the poi with an sd card requires a newer fw but worried id brick unit. I have c version also

Thanks for the reply Trekmeister.
What is the alternative way of updating the POI's? Do you have to add them to the map disc and the reinstall the maps?

Yes there is a tutorial on the site, to be honest I haven't tried it, looks quite long winded but here is the link
