Little Metal Clips that Hold Dash Buttons In
« on: February 15, 2012, 08:20:14 pm »
Does anyone know if you can get the little metal clips that are fitted either side of the buttons for things like, the hazard lights?

Both fell off my hazard light when i was removing the dash vents. They fell behind the stereo wiring, never to be seen again. Means my hazard light now just pulls in and out easily.

Painted yellow? Pence from the dealer.  I'll have a look in the shed for spares

Thanks Mike. I did manage to find it, but i dont use that email address. Its just for MSN only.

Unfortunately, those arent the correct type of clip.

This type are small silver clips that go on the top and bottom of the hazard switch and other switches on my polo.

They are shaped like this: __/\_ but not quite so severe an angle. On the one end, there is a T shape, which clips into the button.

I don't think they are available separately.  Should have some in my tool box so I will have a look for you.

Cheers guys. If anyone has any spare it would be appreciated. They are kind of clipped into the button, but are a rubbish design. They ping off with ease.

I managed to accidentally hoover one of them up this morning when i cleaned the car, as it must have eventually fallen out into the footwell. But i couldnt find it in the hoover!!!
