Just because you don't care that a DSG is fractionally quicker than a manual as boggo standard, does not mean you don't want your manual to become hugely faster than a boggo standard manual!
On the subject of things you CAN'T say, you can't say a DSG is better than manual. You also can't say a manual is better than a DSG. They are two very different ways of getting down the road, and as many have said previously, it depends what elements are more important to you.
I personally prefer a manual as I think there is more 'driving' involved, and a tenth of a second is a price I'm prepared to pay for that involvement and complete control in what I want the car to do, and when to do it. Others will disagree, as their personal preferences will be smashing 1/4 mile records at the Pod. Fair enough.
